Communication services

Do any of these situations sound familiar:

  • Your existing communications and marketing team need a helping hand, or you have no dedicated communications staff.
  • You’re looking to grow, and know that how and what you communicate is vital to your growth, but you’re not sure where to start.
  • Or simply, there are too many options, and you just wish someone could come in, take a look around, point you in the right direction, and help you out while you find your feet.

This is where I come in.

To be clear, I won’t take over your entire marketing and communications activities.

What I will do is help you create a clear actionable plan, deliver tailored solutions, neaten up your systems to run smoothly and, if needed, upskill you and your team. For operational practical support, you will have at your disposal my wide array of technical and creative skills. I can help you write The Thing you’ve been putting off; project manage your annual report; update or recreate your web presence; create better workflows for your regular communication tasks and document them so anyone can follow along – just to name a few.

One way to start is with a communications audit. I will sit down with you and your team to discuss your goals, learn about the challenges or barriers you are facing and provide practical solutions. It is a little bit more involved than just that of course. We will spend half a day working together in your office to uncover the nitty gritty details. I will then brainstorm ideas and complete further research to discover tailored solutions for your unique situation. Audits are available from $880 to gain a fresh perspective into a major function of your business. After the report is delivered, the next steps are up to you – implement any or all of the suggested solutions inhouse, or bring me back to help you out.

Communications support can be used to implement the audit recommendations, and also for other day-to-day or project-based communications activities. This can cover external and internal communications, as well as community engagement, system and workflow updates, and the development of new resources or updating existing ones – for the full list, see the FAQs below. I can lead the project from start to finish, or slip in to provide assistance to the existing team where needed. My help is available on a short-term basis – with five hours of support for $550 – or invest in your very own communications consultant on retainer, starting at $475 per month, for four months or more of personalised support for larger and ongoing projects.

Everything kicks off with an initial 20-minute obligation-free discovery call. Let’s discuss what areas you need help with, if I’m the best person to help you, and if we will work well together. To book in, send me an email: info@erinna.com.au or fill in this form.

Frequently asked questions

Each audit will look at one main communications function of your business, and can include internal, external, community engagement, systems and workflows. If you’ve got a particular issue but not sure what it’s called, or if you have a few sticking points and don’t know which one to concentrate on first, I can guide you through it in our initial discovery call.

  1. If you decide to proceed after our first chat, an invoice will be issued for a 50% deposit, and you will also receive a very-thorough questionnaire to complete. It will provide me a lot of the necessary business and strategy information I need to review before our first working session.
  2. We will then book in a time for me to attend your office – either a half day, or two shorter sessions – to undertake a deep investigation into your communications at both a strategic and functional level. Working alongside and getting the perspective of operational staff, who do the tasks every day, is vital to this process. Therefore, its important they are involved from the beginning and are made available on the day.
While this can be easier in-person, online meetings can also be accommodated where required, and will likely be spread over two or more working sessions.
  3. Afterwards, I will review everything so far, undertake additional research, maybe ask a few more questions, and start uncovering the possible solutions to your major challenges.
  4. Finally, we meet again, where I will deliver my report. It will include an analysis on your communication functions, what you’re doing well, what could do with some improvement, and the all-important recommendations for the practical and cost-effective ways those can be achieved. You’re welcome to ask clarifying questions and I will often include other tips and tools that could help your team and business.
  5. The final invoice is then submitted for payment, and from there it is up to you.
There is no obligation to continue working with me after I’ve delivered your report. You can implement any changes in-house or we can discuss the options to work together again. Short-term or ongoing communications support is available to implement any or all recommendations. To learn more about what activities that could include, click the ‘Communication support’ tab below.
